Afghanistan is a landlock, mountainous country with approximately 49% of its territory above 2000 meters from the sea level. Mainly, in the Northeast are enormously located the seven thousanders of Afghanistan of which Noshaq is extremely popular in the world. The crisscrossed ranges of the Pamir Mountains, the Tien Shen, The Karakorum and the Hindukush are adjoined in the Afghan Pamirs in the Wakhan Corridor. The central parts of the country namely Salang Pass to Kotal Shibar to Bamiyan range along the Hindukush mountains peaking at 6000+ at some points.
